Coachella this year ...

For this year's Coachella Music & Art Festival, art curator, Philip Blaine, turned to a team of design students to help create a signature art installation and party space. The project was conceived in conjunction with legendary design firm Ball-Nogues.

With so many unique works of art, many from major Burning Man artists like Gerard Minakawa, the Do Lab, Kinetic Steam Works, and more, pretty soon they're gonna have to call it the Coachella Art & Music Festival.

The design that the students produced should hold its own. With an undulating lattice that supports a array of light fixtures, it will be unveiled on the festival's opening day next week, April 17. We'll update with pictures of the installation as we get them.

here is some more of their work ...
